If you don't connect the first section of the dripperline lead at this point it would be buried when the soil is added. Don't attempt to connect the entire grid at this point as that would only make the rest of the work cumbersome. Just a "lead" piece that won't get buried.
The supply tubing needs to be "stubbed" into the beds before the project goes any further than the walls. At this point in the project, you'll be preparing the dripperline for connection to the supply line.
